Mirrors
A mapping of an unknown mega city in relation to the familiar home town.
Mirrors är ett tvådelat researchprojekt, där den okända metropolen Istanbul kartlades genom dans, film och ljud. Upplevelserna i Istanbul vidare-
utvecklades och presenterades under ett residens på Arkitekthögskolan på Konstnärligt Campus i Umeå i November 2012. Mirrors är också startpunkten för arbetet med projeket “Staden” – en del av Umeå 2014: s officiella Kulturhuvudstadsprogram.//
Mirrors – a research project, designed as a two-piece reflection, where the unknown metropolis Istanbul was mapped with the use of dance, film and sound. The reflections in Istanbul were presented and further developed during a residency at the Umeå School of Architecture in November 2012. Mirrors is also starting point for the performance installation ”the City” 2014 in Umeå – a part of the official program for the European Capital of Culture.
